Pass Plus driving course

Once you have passed your practical driving test you will no doubt want to get driving at the earliest opportunity.

However statistics show that newly qualified drivers are still very vulnerable on the roads due to lack of experience especially in their first 2 years . This is not age specific.

You may therefore wish to develop your driving skills further and gain more confidence on the roads by taking the Pass Plus course.

This is an industry recognised training scheme designed by the Driving Standards Agency.

It will cover motorway and night driving as well as enhancing your anticipation and awareness skills in town, rural and dual carriageway settings.

There are six one-hour modules to complete and your instructor will assess your standard in each module to complete the course.

You will need to reach or exceed the required standard to satisfy the objectives of the course however, there is no exam.

You should ideally take this course within 12 months of passing your practical driving test.

Save Money on your Car Insurance

In recognition of your improved driving skills, many insurance companies will lower the cost of your premiums.

You may well save more than the cost of the course! Effectively it could ‘pay for itself’. Please check with your insurance company to see if discounts apply.

Some insurance companies may defer the discount until you have your own car but please check with them first before taking the training.

While saving money on your insurance is a nice incentive , your primary objective should be to develop your driving skills!!!

Instructors at Accona Driving Academy are registered to teach this course.
